Almond Tea Cake
Ingredients
- All-purpose flour 1 cup
- Baking powder 1 tsp
- Baking soda 1/2 tsp
- Oil 1/4 cup
- Sugar 1/2 cup
- Milk 1/4 cup
- Yogurt 1/2 cup
- Vanilla essence 1 tsp
- Chopped almonds 2 tbsp
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (using upper and lower rods).
- Grease a 6 inch bread mould with oil and place a butter paper in it.
- Mix oil, sugar, yogurt, milk and vanilla essence really well with a hand whisk.
- Sift flour and baking powder, baking soda into the mixture and mix. The batter will be thick.
- Fold in chopped almonds.
- Add the batter to the mould and bake at 180°C (using upper and lower rods) for 30-40 minutes or until the toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the mould to room temperature.
- Take out and cut into slices.
- Serve with tea. Enjoy!
