Chicken Bread Roll

Ingredients

  • Bread slices 12
  • Mozzarella cheese 1 cup

Butter Layer

  • Butter 1/2 cup
  • Dried parsley or Freshly chopped coriander 2 tbsp
  • Salt
  • Garlic cloves, 2, grated

Chicken Filling

  • Boiled and shredded chicken 1 cup
  • Mayonnaise 3/4 cup
  • Cream cheese 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder to taste
  • Paprika powder 1 tsp

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven at 180°C.
  2. Chicken Filling: Mix together mayonnaise, cream cheese, salt, black pepper and paprika powder.
  3. Mix well and add boiled and shredded chicken. Mix well. keep aside.
  4. Butter Layer: Melt the butter and add freshly grated garlic cloves, parsley (or coriander) and salt. Mix and keep aside.
  5. Trim off the crust of the bread slices using a knife.
  6. Arrange the bread slices on a parchment paper such that they overlap eachother ( please watch the video for the detailed explanation).
  7. Now using a rolling pin, roll the bread slices into a thin sheet. Make sure there is no gap between the slices otherwise the roll may fall apart during baking.
  8. Apply melted butter on the bread sheet.
  9. Layer with mozzarella cheese.
  10. Top with chicken filling and spread evenly on the sheet.
  11. With the help of the parchment paper, roll the bread sheet into a log.
  12. Place it on a baking tray.
  13. Again apply melted butter on top and put some mozzarella cheese on top.
  14. Bake at 180°C for 10-12 minutes or until golden and crisp.
  15. Cut into slices and enjoy with ketchup or chili sauce.
