Hummus 1

Hummus is a Mediterranean dip made with chickpeas pureed into a fine paste along with all the spices and olive oil. We love hummus and make it often. I use it with fries, fried chicken, chips, vegetables and plain roti.

Ingredients:

  • Boiled Chick peas 1 cup
  • Tahini Paste 1½ tablespoons
  • Lemon Juice 2 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste
  • Cumin Powder ½ teaspoon
  • Garlic Paste ½ teaspoon
  • Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Water ¼ to ½ Cup or as needed

preparation:

  1. In a blender, blend together boiled chickpeas, salt, zeera powder, lemon juice, garlic paste, olive oil, and tahini paste.
  2. Add water as required to make a very smooth paste.
  3. Garnish with olive oil and serve! Enjoy!
