Meat Pies on Tawa

Ingredients

Dough

  • All purpose flour 1.5 cups
  • Yeast 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar 1/2 tsp
  • Luke warm Water 120 ml or as needed

Filling

  • Beef/lamb mince 1 cup
  • Oil 1-2 tbsp
  • Onion 1 chopped
  • Tomato 1/2 chopped
  • Bell peppers 1 cup, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder to taste
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin powder 3/4 tsp
  • Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  • Tomato paste 3 tbsp

Other

  • Pizza sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese

Preparation

  1. Dough: Mix All purpose flour, yeast and sugar. Add luke warm water little by little and knead for 5-6 minutes to make a smooth dough. The dough should be soft but without lumps.
  2. Filling: Mix all the filling ingredients and cook until the beef is done and filling is dry.
  3. Divide the dough into 10 pieces and roll them into small pizzas. Place into frying pans.
  4. Apply pizza sauce and place the beef filling on top. Top off with mozzarella cheese.
  5. Cover the pan and cook on low until the cheese has melted.
  6. Enjoy!
