Cream of Corn Soup

Ingredients

Cream of Corn

  • Butter 1 tbsp
  • 1 cup of corn kernels
  • 1/2 cup milk

Soup Ingredients

  • Butter 1 tbsp
  • Ginger paste 1/4 tsp
  • Garlic paste 1/4 tsp
  • Onion 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Carrot 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Peas 1/4 cup
  • Chicken cube 1
  • Water 2-3 cups
  • Vinegar to taste
  • Soy sauce to taste
  • Hot sauce to taste
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Some corn kernels for garnishing

Slurry

  • Corn flour 3-4 tsp in a little water

Preparation

  1. Blend butter, milk and corn. Cream of corn is ready. Keep it aside.
  2. In a cooking pot, add butter, ginger and garlic paste. Sauté for a few seconds.
  3. Add onion, carrot and peas. Sauté on low heat until soft.
  4. Add the cream of corn and chicken cube to it. Mix and add 2-3 cups of water.
  5. Mix and add salt, black pepper powder, soy sauce, hot sauce and vinegar.
  6. Bring to boil and allow to cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Add corn flour slurry, stirring continuously, cook until the soup thickens.
  8. Top with a few corn kernels and enjoy!
